They are Marching…

Coconut seller in the streets of Phnom Penh during a photo tour

We often look past people working in the streets and move on in a hurry
I see them working out of the corner of my eye and can’t help but take a photo with respect.

They march through life to provide food and hopefully an education for their family and children.

Loaded with hundreds of coconuts, he pushes his trade all day long on the streets of Phnom Penh
He’s marching!

Woman road worker in Phnom Penh

Women wearing sandals only smashing a street with a pickaxe. Bent over in the tropical heat, working hard while her child waits for her mother for a little attention and care.
She’s Marching!

older woman doing hard labour in Phnom Penh

There is hardly a pension available for older people in Cambodia.
She continues to work into her old age, doing hard men’s work on only sandals in the brutal heat.
She’s Marching!

Rickshaw driver in Phnom Penh

An older gray man pushing his way through the streets of Phnom Penh on his old steel rickshaw, sometimes heavily loaded with many bags of rice or cooking oil.
He’s Marching!

Proud and friendly look with the lines in his face that prove that he has already made some miles in his life. Proud of his work as a Rickshaw driver.
He’s Marching!
